Barangay Calamba, under the leadership of Punong Barangay Ester G. Concha, conducted a Planning and Budgeting Workshop for the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) and the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) for Calendar Year 2026 today, October 17, 2025, in Balamban, Cebu.
The workshop aimed to prepare and finalize the BCPC Annual Work and Financial Plan (AWFP) and the BADAC Plan of Action (BADPA), which will guide the formulation of the FY 2026 Annual Budget. This ensures that programs and projects are properly resourced and implemented effectively and on schedule by barangay officials, employees, and member-agencies.
DILG Cebu City, led by City Director Jonah V. Pino, CESO V, provided technical support during the workshop. LGOO VI Emarie T. Quema-Deiparine facilitated the crafting of the BADAC Plan of Action for 2026–2028, while the BCPC AWFP for CY 2026 was also formulated.
Participants included barangay and SK officials, representatives from Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), DSWS, COSAP, Bidlisiw Foundation, and other barangay personnel.
This initiative aligns with the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s commitment to strengthening local governance, ensuring compliance with mandatory plans, and preparing Barangay Calamba for the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB).
